Silva vs Sonnen II

This weekend's UFC 148: Silva vs Sonnen 2, is what fight fans have been waiting for ever since the first fight ended with Sonnen coming so close to victory. Chael Sonnen is the only man to have ever come close to taking away Anderson Silva's belt. Last time, Chael Sonnen completely dominated Anderson. He took him down, and beat the crap out of him for 5 rounds threatening to take away not only Silva's belt but also ending the longest fight win streak in the UFC.

With 3 minutes and 10 seconds left in the final round, Silva locked in a triangle armbar that ended the fight in what I believe to be one of the greatest comebacks in UFC history, extending his win streak to 12 and successfully defending his championship status.

With Sonnen coming so close to taking the title away from Silva, it was only a matter of time until they met again inside the octagon. This July 7th, he will have another chance at Anderson Silva and his belt. The only difference is that this time, the stakes are higher.

"Anderson Silva if I beat you, you leave the division, if you beat me I'll leave the UFC forever..."

That"s how all this got started. These were the words of top middleweight contender Chael Sonnen when he challenged current middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

With Chael Sonnen's non-stop verbal abuse on every known form of social media, Anderson Silva's patience has run out. His trash talking has been too much that it finally cracked Silva. The normally calm and cool headed champion would just shrug away the comments. He usually does the talking inside the octagon while making anybody inside with him look like a foolish amateur. But this time, he's come out of his shell and make a few promises.

"It doesn't matter if I'm on bottom, side or top. Chael Sonnen is going to get his ass kicked like he's never gotten his ass kicked before. What I'm going to do inside the Octagon is something that's gonna change the image of the sport. I'm going to make sure that every one of his teeth are broken, his arms are broke, his legs are broke. He's not going to be able to walk out of the Octagon by himself, I can guarantee that. I know he's listening: The game is over, no more s--- talking. It's on now."

Who do you think will win this fight? Will Sonnen finally be able to finish the job this time or will Anderson Silva leave a broken and bruised up Chael Sonnen when he leaves the octagon with his belt?

In my opinion, I believe that Chael Sonnen has got what it takes to beat the champ. He's got to stick to his game plan and not get sucked into The Spider's web. It's about time for a new middleweight champion. This is going to be one for the books.
