Deftac Cebu reaps medals in Bangkok

Deftac-Cebu brought home its first international gold medal last September 19 and 20 in the 2009 FBT Thailand BJJ Open in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ram Ananda, Bryan Espino, Jay Uy, and Tom Woodfin represented Deftac-Cebu in the recently concluded event and brought home 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 3 bronze in various weight divisions. Including the coveted gold medal from the no-gi absolute division (with more than 100 competitors in that one division), courtesy of Ram Ananda.
Ram also brought home a bronze in the -70kg white belt gi division. Bryan Espino earned himself a silver in no-gi and bronze in gi for the -70kg division. Tom Woodfin, competed in the -80kg no-gi division and earned a silver medal there. Jay Uy also earned himself a bronze medal from the -64kg gi division.
